Judgment Ridge

Judgment Ridge
Dick Lehr and Mitchell Zuckoff

Two pure products of America go crazy. In their hick-town high school they managed to stand out as smart kids without having to do any work at all. Everyone who knew them described them as having been “very bright,” but being tall and having attitude were probably more important to this identification than having any brains. They were narcissists who identified with the supermen of Nietzsche and Ayn Rand. They knew Bill Gates was a college dropout. They wanted to get rich, quickly, without effort. They tried rock-climbing but remained bored by life. They killed a couple of university professors for $340, which they immediately spent on crap. They were caught right away, after leaving one of the murder weapons behind and then trying to hitch a ride from the east to the west coast. They were sentenced to twenty-five years and life.
